My name is Ed Roberson, and I’m a Colorado-based ranch broker specializing in the sale of investment-grade recreational, conservation, and agricultural ranches throughout the American West. I also work as a land conservation consultant, managing conservation projects for Rocky Mountain land trusts. Mountain & Prairie is my personal blog, a central hub for sharing writing, my podcast, and other interesting content related to ranches, conservation, history, and adventures in the American West and beyond.
I’m fortunate to enjoy a huge overlap between my personal and professional interests. I love spending long days exploring private ranches and public lands, as well as studying the economic, ecological, and historical attributes of western landscapes. My volunteer activities revolve around land conservation, with a special interest in the role working ranches can play in the preservation of western communities and ecosystems. I push myself hard in endurance sports, having climbed some of North and South America’s highest mountains and competed in 50 and 100-mile ultramarathons through remote regions of Colorado. Any down time is spent reading, particularly nonfiction related to history of the American West. (For some of my favorite titles, check out my Book Recommendations page or sign up for my bimonthly book recommendations email.)
Thanks for visiting! I hope you find the blog and podcast informative and entertaining. For more information on my professional background, visit my Mirr Ranch Group bio page, or connect with me via email or through your preferred social channel at the bottom righthand corner of this page.
